Chhayanat (Kolkata) and La Casa de los Políglotas recently held a joint celebration of International Mother Language Day at Sarat Smriti Sadan, Kolkata.

The event was organised to honor the linguistic and cultural diversity of the world and to promote multilingualism. Speakers from both organisations discussed the importance of multilingualism and the various ways in which it contributes to our cultures and societies. The event also included several cultural performances, such as traditional Bengali songs, dance, and storytelling.
International Mother Language Day was created to raise awareness of the importance of preserving mother tongues and to promote linguistic and cultural diversity. The event was a great success and highlighted the rich heritage and culture of Kolkata.
