This course is specially designed for learners who have completed the Pre-Intermediate (A2) level and are ready to strengthen their Italian fluency and handle more complex communication in real-life contexts.

Requirements

This course is intended for learners who already possess a solid foundation in A2-level skills—such as describing experiences, expressing preferences, and communicating in everyday situations—and are eager to advance to the next level of language competence.

What you will learn

In the Italian Intermediate Course (B1 level), students will:
Build a wider vocabulary connected to work, education, culture, environment, and social life.
Learn to narrate events and experiences using the imperfetto, passato prossimo, and introduction to trapassato prossimo.
Understand and use future tense (futuro semplice & futuro anteriore) to express predictions, intentions, and assumptions.
Improve accuracy and fluency in conversations regarding opinions, arguments, and personal viewpoints.
Strengthen listening comprehension through authentic audio, interviews, short stories, and dialogues.
Develop reading skills with magazine articles, narratives, and cultural texts.
Use more complex grammar structures such as:
Pronouns (direct, indirect, combined)
Ci / Ne
Relative pronouns (che, cui, il quale)
Comparatives & superlatives
Impersonal forms (si impersonale / si passivante)
Practice formal email writing, short essays, and structured written tasks.
Engage in role-plays involving work situations, travel problems, appointments, and social interactions.
The course follows Espresso 3, providing structured lessons, cultural insights, grammar explanations, and communicative tasks for a strong B1 foundation.

Description

Italian Intermediate Course (B1 Level)
Advance your Italian proficiency with our Intermediate Course, designed for learners who have successfully completed the Pre-Intermediate level. Using Espresso 3 as the core textbook, this course helps students achieve better fluency in daily and professional communication, understand longer spoken and written texts, and use essential grammar such as the imperfetto, future tenses, and combined pronouns.
You will also practice writing formal emails, opinion paragraphs, and descriptive texts, preparing you for real-life communication in academic, travel, and workplace contexts.
The course runs for a total of 52 hours, with classes scheduled on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Course Fee: Rs 20,640 which includes the textbook, a student cineID, premium T-shirt, and a student ID card.
