Guest-in-chief Shri Jogen Chowdhary along with other eminent painters was inaugurated last night. This exhibition is dedicated to the Royal Bengal Tiger and Sunderban to raise awareness about the crucial need to protect nature.

Bappa Bhowmick is a renowned painter based in Bengal whose works have always been centered around a special message for society. His paintings stand as a testament to his commitment to spreading awareness about the need to save the Sunderbans. Through his artistic creations, Bappa Bhowmick has consistently tried to promote conservation, highlighting that the Sunderbans is not just a home for Royal Bengal Tigers, but also for a plethora of other creatures. He focuses on the deep interconnectedness that nature has with our lives, and emphasizes that we cannot afford to destroy the ecosystem that exists in the Sunderbans. Rather, it is our responsibility to care for and protect it, for the sake of our own lives and the lives of future generations.




As India celebrates 50 years of the 'Tiger Project', an initiative launched by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on 1st April 1973 at Jim Corbett National Park, Bappa Bhowmick's art is a timely reminder of the importance of protecting and nurturing our wildlife.
